Msonik3 Marine ESC SetUp Explanation Help
« on: July 10, 2014, 01:37:40 am »

Hello, I was given two of these still in their packages, never used BUT I am a little confused with their setup procedure:
  1. plug the esc into the receiver
  2. plug the servo plug into the receiver

My question, what servo plug? I have one of the esc`s  in front of me, I see: main tamiya batt. plug, yellow/blue motor bullet plugs, brown/red/orange receiver plug. That`s it.
Do they mean that after this is first done then you plug into the receiver any other servos you will be using, for steering? etc.
So first you setup the esc with the radio system then plug in ALL other servos and go from there?

  Please explain.

 Thank You.

 George
P.S.

From members expereince, would this ESC be capable of driving two brushed motors, 5A each, not a speed boat but a military scale landing craft that I have already installed capacitors 0.1uf/50 non polarised x 3 for each motor on. Main battery 2S 7.4V Lipo main battery.

 Thanks Again

These ESCs are in the region of ten years old, and have no lipo protection on them.
