Depends on the material used. For brass or steel then silver solder is strongest.

Agreed, 'normal' electrical, electronic, plumbers solders is way too soft.

I did the rails on my Arun lifeboat in Silver solder. Its a bit of an art to do but the result is much better.

Hi, I used just a basic solder with I think around 40 tin, works for me
