Bow thruster
« on: September 28, 2007, 06:10:38 pm »

first of all what is a bow thruster, I'm not quite sure, didnt have them on the destroyer escort I served on moons ago.
and secondly, if you we're doing a 1/72 RNLI liifeboat would you put a real one in, or fit the plastic one provide or cover the opening and smooth over, the kit will be rc converted.

The model ones are basically a paddle wheel or propeller in a tube to shove the bow sideways.  In a 1:72 lifeboat you would be making your own, but with weight considerations just filling/covering the holes is probably the way to go for an RC model.
