I was a carpenter, well I still am but I don't get paid for doing any now. Called The Hammer because if I couldn't do it with a hammer I couldn't do it at all. It measured 14" the distance between studs, joist & rafters. (Before we went metric.) It will make a neat 1 1/8" hole in most thing if hit hard enough. The straight claws are an axe, chisel or wedge, also pulls any thing out. Of course its a screw driver and it knocks in nails. One thing has always puzzles me, a shipwright using an adze is considered a great craftsman, but a carpenter using an axe is considered a rough hedge carpenter. When I was flying model & full size I was The Flying Hammer.
