hi everyone new here
« on: August 10, 2014, 01:45:51 pm »

Hi everyone ,
i'm new to this model boat building and my first build may seem a little wild to start with, but i believe if you do a model you have passion in rather than what's expected you will do a better job.
As you will see it's just a drawing of a video game i play and that's about it. ( there is one other drawing on square paper that gives me a outline from above)

Wow  :o
That is one complicated hull form, or should I say Two  %% %%

Are you going to make a couple of plugs and mould the hulls?
OR are you making frames and sheathing with ply?

If you can get the hulls correct then the rest will be a bit easier %) %)

Welcome :-)) :-))

I'm making the hull out of 4 mm ply and had to work out a scale to work from , to simplify the hull abit i have changed the 2 hulls each side to a V shape in the middle to make it an easier hull form to build as there was not enough space to put in 2 small hulls.

The model is 4' long and about 2'6" wide , and i am hoping to make it into an rc model.

As you see i have no below waterline plans so by joining the 2 small hulls gives me more room inside for the battery / engine and all the delicate electrics will be going into the wheelhouse.

The hardest thing about this build is making a thing not intended to sail, work

to give you a clue what im working with this is the other drawing - im using 2 cm per square.

you will also notice it a different version as it has longer bow points , and different gun placements - there has been 5 different versions of this boat and i could not find any more plans than these 2.

so it's a make do and mend
