Hegi Orion
« on: May 06, 2014, 03:56:50 pm »

I have aquired a kit by Hegi called Orion, a motor yacht, but have been unsuccessful searching for any info about it.

Has anyone else here had the kit or have any info on the boat?

Probably based on this girl I think, but I've never come across the kit before.

Thanks

Hi sailorboy61,
this is Thorsten from Dortmund, Germany. Searching for the same information I found your question about Orion. I got this kit in the Age of 12, I am now 49 years old. After more than 35 years in my cellar I now started to restore the boat.
Orion seems to be a mixture of the original ships Passage II and Orion from the dutch shipyard Feadship. www.feadship.nl.
On their site  you can find pictures of Passage II, Orion and lot of similar ships.
I asked Feadship for additionl photos, perhaps they may be interesting for you.
Just follow the link, available until September

Kind regards
Thorsten
