Yes, thank you.

I have returned a mail asking, to show the members what the model makes and names are, as I'm sure they would be interested.

Keep up the good work

There are a lot of TID tug models around, but I don't believe that you have built a fleet of identical ones. Apart from company livery, were there many differences, how did they evolve (if they did) and what makes one TID that much different from another. Not being cheeky, I'd like to know. And I would STILL like a definitve defiinition of "TID"! BY.

Hey Tubby Tomo,

Did i read that correctly? Do you mention you have a Cruiser???

If so I would welcome any photos/advice, I am building one myself.

T.I.D. Is thought to stand for "Tug Invasion Duty", the first few were built coal fired and then on, oill, with the coal fired ones being converted to oil later. this seems to be the general consensus. Also after the war many were converted and I have been told that there is one in the Mersey now that has a very strange wheelhouse with the funnel sticking out of it. Dunno how true that is? :)

'Tug Inshore Defence' is another one but on the web site for

http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~tidtug/               it says

The origin of the 'TID' abbreviation remains uncertain with interpretations varying from; 'Tug Invasion Duty' to 'Tug in Dock' to 'Tug Intermediate Design' to 'Tiddler'.

So they all seen to have a version of the name
