Just to let people know that there will be a model boat event at Canoe Lake, Southsea, on Sunday September 7th, featuring members and models from Portsmouth Model Boat Display Team, Portsmouth and District Model Powerboat Club and The Southern Model Lifeboat Society. Should be good if the seaweed gods are good to us!

Great news from the lake....following my very scientific test of the water, by sticking my thumb in the lake and sucking it, it was deduced that our once sea water lake was being diluted by a fresh water outfall pipe from the kiddies splash pool just up the hill. Passing this on to the City Council with the deduction that this may be the cause of this summers weed problems...today the lake is weed free and full of salty old sea water, weeds all gone, result ...except for us submariners, who would have prefered a less salty alternative for signal penetration into the lake, what a putz!

What a great day we had yesterday with the 3 clubs. The displays were brilliant, and I think everybody had a great time
