changing transmitter?

hello im looking to buy a new rc boat
but I don't like the wheel type controllers all of them seem to come with now a days
what would I need to change the transmitter over to a stick type?
for my old car lunch box its got a acoms techniplus transmitter

the boats im currently looking at are:
joysway sea rider
Joysway Super Mono X

if you can get to the receiver... !!
then all you need to do is change the receiver in the boot for one that is compatible with your stick transmitter..

If they are 27 or 40mhz with interchangeable crystals you have more chance of changing them without replacing the tx without the need to change the rx

Hi super cds.
 before you do anything you had better enquire if the models you are intrested in have a receiver in them, as although they have the transmitter and rudder servo the chinese RTR models are usually controlled from a bespoke circuit board.  You may though be able to scrap  the electrics and replace them with standard gear ie fitt a receiver but then will the size of the hull allow you do this as everything will have to run off the one battery.
