2.4gHz advice needed, please..
« on: September 05, 2014, 09:02:04 am »

Guys, I'm looking for a 2.4ghz radio for the Long Tail boat...space is at an absolute premium, the rx/esc/battery pack needs to fit up in the bow cupboard, so I need a radio with the tiniest of tiny receivers. I have a real micro esc which will be ideal, the battery pack I can get Component Shop to make me to suit what space I have left, but the rx is the problem.
.
Anyone got any recommendations for a radio with a mico size rx? Something about 2/3rds of the size of a Planet rx would be ideal.

you will need a Spektrum DSM2 compatible Transmitter to use that receiver for example DX6i etc

I would suggest looking at what Micron has to offer:

Rich,

The following Rx from Giant Shark is also a DSM2 Spektrum receiver. I have three of these, the range is good, and they use standard Futaba style connectors Best thing is the price  O0 , although you will need a Spektrum Tx.
