Motor question..
« on: September 20, 2014, 12:53:49 pm »

Anybody used one of these motors? I have no idea what is, where it came from, what voltage it runs at...in fact all I know about it is that fits inside my alligators head perfectly, therefore I want to use it if it's feasible.

The alligator won't be running all the time like a conventional model boat, but in short one/two second bursts of power, then left to glide along for a while, and so on, so the motor won't be overworked in any way. It revs like a mad thing on 9v, so I'm thinking of using it with a 7.4v lipo and a tiny Ripmax forward only esc. I'll not be needing a reverse function...it'll be virtually impossible to reverse a three section alligator!

What do you guys reckon...yes or no?

31mm x 10mm Bob, although I did cut the shaft down by a bit as it had a strange off centre 'thing' on it, so it would have been around 35mm oal.
