Give Mtroniks a call, they will help you out over the phone, tell you what to do. They are very good like that.

What tx rx are you using Gordon?
Is the esc a plug and play or does it have
asetup button?

Just switch the Tx on first make sure the throttle is central.
Switch on the esc and receiver and move the throttle
slowly forward.
You should then get a green.
If you get a red then you must reverse the Tx setting for
the throttle.

Gordon , If you have a solid red led on the ESC it means no signal
from the RX.
If as you say the rudder servo is working, then double check the
esc lead is in the right socket on the RX.
Common mistake made by most of us at sometime is to push
the esc connector plug alongside the pins on the Rx so no connection.
