PrestonDave Just registered
« on: October 02, 2014, 10:38:25 am »

Hello to everyone,

I've just registered after seeing the string on the SG&K Gentleman's Runabout, for which I have recently purchased the plan and woodpack. So useful seeing the photos and warnings re the narrow former.

I have just returned to the hobby following retirement, resurrecting an aged Aerokits Sea Hornet, which I have had since age 15 (58 years ago), geared 540 power and quite quick despite excess weight. I have also built Amaranth and Antje, a couple of other gentleman racer style boats, a little Broads racer from model boats free plan and have a Billing Karoline under construction, just reached rigging stage, with a steep learning curve ahead. My interest seems to waver between theses three types so progress always seems slow. Hopefully I will get on the water before too long! I am just enjoying building and re-discovering skills at the moment.

Regards to all
