coir matting

Hello im hoping that someone can help,


   how can i make coir matting at 1/96 scale? any help would be appreciatied

Phil- I have had a similar Problem a while ago, at the same scale. I have had a several tries and the only thing which really matches is a paper-towel which you cut in the needed size. Paint it wet in the wanted colour and place it. Let it dry and seal it with matt or satin varnish.

Hi Jack- you`re welcome. Please note that I have mentione paper-towel insted of a paper-handkerchief. The structure of the towel is a bit better than the one from the handkerchief (i.e. Clleenex).
