Hi, can anyone tell me what scale a 49 inch Vosper Perkasa would be, and where to get fittings for it. Boat is missing lots of stuff on the deck including Torpeado tubes etc etc.
 Thanks
Mark

Roughly 1/24th scale!  Perkasas were 99ft 9 inches or 1197 inches long. Divide that by 49 gives you 24.42 . So approximately 1/24th scale.  Check Battlecraft for fittings.  http://www.battlecrafts.co.uk/

Thank you so much guys........I bought this one at a garage sale on Sunday. Missing all the internals also. It's my first boat and needs plenty of work. I shall go and research the links you guys have kindly given and get started.  Any more advice would be more than welcome

Cheers

Well I've done a few bits to this neglected old girl, starting with the rear panels and then the roof of the cabin. It was to low for me to fit the wiper blade blocks..........first time doing this so learning as I go. :). Also made the radar stand and radar (I think that's what it is) haven't got a massive budget so making as much as I can from pics and stuff.  Really enjoying it......Happy Days :)

It looks like a rescue job in the process Jeman! I like the radar mount, it looks very intricate. Good luck with your first project and I hope it is the first of many:O)

Thanks for all the links guys, the more info the better.

Hi Frank, I'm not working to any plans at the moment just by pics of various models on google. Anglia model centre have said if I call back next week and talk to Mark, he may be able to supply various parts to me including torpeado tubes so fingers crossed on that. I've made the rear panels that are in the rear of the cabin ( sorry but don't know my way around the boat or terminology yet) as I've seen it on other models, but my scale might be a bit of. There seems to be a few variances between models so I'm sticking to one. Like you say plans are the way to go, but I've never worked from plans before so that will be a big learning curve. I really want the boat to look wright, so all the help, info and advice is really appreciated :)

Hi Mark.
The plans you get with the perkassa kit are just assembly plans and not to scale. There are two pdfs here you can download with some data for a moulded kit model build.

Ok, that would make sense.....another thing on my to get list.  Just want to detail as much as I can without it looking to bad. I hope it's worth it. I think the boat does deserve a second chance. Oh why did I stop at that garage sale lol {-)

Thank you very much guys......and for the link, really appreciate it. That link is great. I've just ordered torpeado tubes and various stowage boxes from anglia model. The battlecraft one looks brilliant for the more detailed bits and the crew.....fantastic.  I'll be posting updates real soon.   Thanks so much guys !
