Re: Mayhem at Wicksteed 2015 Victorian Fleet Review
« Reply #450 on: May 20, 2015, 09:29:05 am »

Looking at the possibility of a slight shower of Northampton vertical mist at 1pm on the Sunday would the Victorian and Edwardian warship sailors like to meet up on the Saturday as the main meeting of the Victorian fleet review. Obviously I'll be there all weekend and both days are still open to us to sail and I do believe that we would have enough for two days but of we can get a lot on the Saturday it would look most impressive :-))

Does anyone know which day John Walvarens & Colin Vass are going to be at Wicky. I need to see them both.
Cheers

I was hoping that would be on the Saturday as I have no camping stuff and can only do one day.  Aiming to get to Wikki soon after 10 am.  The lake is not deep so an ROV sub-Springer rescue boat should not be needed.

Well hi there, I bet there are loads out there in Mayhem world who thought I had sunk, kidnapped by aliens, been sold at auction or at the very least blown myself up while setting fire to the petrol tank on my steam boat. Well panic not I have surfaced, escaped the alien probes, bought myself out and doused the flames to return to the weekend known as "Mayhem" (or better known as Singing in the Rain).
I and the steamboat apprentice will be arriving at the jolly old campsite Thursday eve to start the weekend rolling, a few markers for the straight running course (well bendy course) a few beers to help with the aforementioned, and a BBQ (wood fired if all does not go well with the bendy course) and a PA system so we can hear our glorious leader (whom no doubt we will be able to see given his wardrobe) and of course the most vital piece of equipment known to model boaters.......the Tea Urn.......so me heartys I shall be seeing you   :-))

Almost exactly six months since your last post, Mr A............. What was it, then? Wearing plywood teeth in a public place? Did you serve the full term or are you out on licence? I may break a finger to celebrate your release  :o
Behave or I'll see you on Sunday  8)

Chewed my way out, which given the state of modern day plastics took a while, I knew I should have got MACs mouldings to do them, an extra item for their catalog......meanwhile have been building a new workshop in jolly old france, decorating the house and trying to find half the bits for the boats that I put somewhere safe..........
Now all I have to do is repair my waders, and given the location of the leak  {:-{ and the water depth at Wicksteed has become a bit of a priority..... O0
No hurt fingers please, you know I will not be able to bite the end of the bandage off..........
Now how do you BBQ soup. {-) {-)

But of course Nick.  It's a pity we didn't claim last year's flight, it would have won the greatest distance flown after the Saturday evening storm !!

All we now need is a hardy soul to volunteer for the role of Gazebo Pilot !!   %%

I'll be keeping my head down on that one.  {-)

Revenge is sweet Nick (although not toffees) now you may see a penguin fly, either by A) Pilot of the Peterborough fixed wing gazebo   %%   or B) the more likely one  O0 right foot wader assisted air bourne launch. O0 O0.......

After Phil's comments these Penguins have just secured their gazebo down extra tight and are planning to hide for the duration of the weekend.

On the plus side if the weather is anything like it is down here on the South Coast it's going to be a beautiful weekend.
