No, dear boy - I was an Officer of Her Majesty's Customs and Excise and proud of it, until Gordon B****y Brown decided that he couldn't handle two revenue departments and allowed the scumbags in the Inland Revenue to take us over. I understand from former colleagues still under the yolk that under the new regime simply to mention the words "Customs and Excise" in the office is a disciplinary offence.
And as for a pint at lunchtime......

I'd not last a week!

A groat is still legal tender in the more remote parts of Lincolnshire. Mind you, they think that Elvis is still alive there.......

Sorry about the Tax office faux pas.
Customs and Excise guys used to have the
odd tipple with us RN Surveyors on the East
Coast in Harwich and Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.

Well we are finally home, a little later than most, after a week long detour via Blackpool.

Just going through the Wicksteed pictures, of which there are hundreds, will chuck them up as I find them over the next few days - if there's anything specific anyone wants, or from different angles, I may well have it so please just ask.
