Only what I have managed to read...I think it can be purchased in 2 versions with an option of a brushless motor.
One of the packages is a dynamic dive and the other I am told will be a dive module for it.
I am led to believe that the full option ie static dive and brushless set up could be quite expensive... well here anyway..Thats all i can tell you hope that is of use ..

Unfortunately all the bits are extras...you buy the hull package .(1215).Then the power package..(1216) .Then the ballast package (1217) and then the static package .?.
It also reccomends a computer PCM radio as the rear vanes are a cruciform arrangement and the computer radio has the facility to mix the vanes...or you would have to invest in some electronic mixer for a standard radio ( according to my Robbe 2007 new release catalogue anyhow ) :(

If you want to fit a leveller, then on board mixing is essential- a computer radio is waste of time in this regard.

whats the advantage of using outrunners on a sub? is it worth the extra? don't they have a very high current drain?

An outrunner will provide low revs combined with torque, which enables a direct driven prop- silent, simple and efficient.

I purchased Robbe U 31 month ago. It is nice kit, mostly watertight cylinder. I have it included static dive system. Only I do not like is plastic hull from kit,I do not know, if this can handle 20 kg heavy submarine. I do not thing so, just because this I purchased excellent fiberglass hull. It is more money, but I am sure, I never will have any cracks on hull. Outrunner electric motor is required, because 6 bladed propeler has 10 cm diameter, and it need low RPM, because kavitation. Outrunner have 100 RPM on Volt, so in 12 volt system, it is 1200 RPM.

ASW is right. I received today fiberglass hull for my U 31. I am sure, ABS plastic Hull will have problem keep weight of all lead and water t. cylinder.I never seen so great quality of fiberglass hull as my U 31.Hopefully I will have my sub in the lake soon for test drive

No such person selling copies of any Robbe hull on Subcommitte , they wouldn't accept an advert and would delete any posts offering such rip off merchandise , to deliberately copy a manufacturers work is copyright theft pure and simple

Davie,

I don't believe the chap has said it's a copy of the Robbe hull, just that it's a GRP 212, which could mean the hull has been moulded from a new pattern. and Peter Zak is advertising U31 epoxy glass hulls in the subswap section at the Sub Committee website.

Friends, if you just thinking about making copy of Robbe's hull for this sub, ask Robbe, when they put on the market first kit of Type212. Then, take a look, when this guy had informations about his hulls on internet, included pictures. This beauty in NOT copy, I had opportunity to see on my own eyes master model for this hull and plans too. So if you have NOT any informations, please do not tell  anything about copying. By the way, this guy is part of subcommittee a lot of years. On the German market is also aluminium tech rock for this sub, do you thing it is copy also?
