I'm absolutely disgusted, whoever is responsible for this disgraceful act should have many un-name able things done to them, can't believe they would go to that much effort to destroy such fantastic works of modelling. My sincere sympathy to the club and builders. <:(

Nick - The scum that did this wouldnt recognise serious modelling if it jumped up at slapped them across the face!

I am at a total loss for words on this......vigilante justice might be sweet, but murder still carries a heavy penalty.......

That is absolutely heartbreaking. To think of all those hours, effort, money and, devotion and dedication being destroyed and dumped in a lake... Words fail me.

They should have cold everything.
A trip to Siberia would be too good for them.

Guys......thanks for your comments but locks only keep honest people out  <*<

So again....whilst it is no consolation to the owner of the Warrick engine........a local Illawarra security company  :-)) has offered to provide a courtesy back to base electronic security alarm system for the ILS storage complex...our only cost will be some display signage [which we keep under lock & key] & put them out each monthly public running day where we commonly get 600 to 700 members of the public attending ....so good advertising for this new sponsor [the security co]

The Wollongong community spirit has been amazing in response to our plight....with offers of assistance & donations from a number of other Illawarra business groups

ILS will be publically acknowledging these companies or groups in due course  O0........................... Derek

Good news indeed, Derek. Unfortunately, Blowfly is a relatively simple loco, originally intended for beginners to steam model engineering, whereas the destroyed loco was much more complex. It's still a ray of sunshine on a very dismal event, however, and I'm sure the club will be relieved.
