Indeed! But maybe it will inspire a few kids to pester their parent enough to get into modelboats.

Major problem at a calm sunny day at Black Park.  Large numbers of young children and their parents kept getting between me and my TV series based novelty boat.  How can you steer when most of the time you can't even see it  :embarrassed:

Anyone would think I had brought the actual star of 'In The Night Garden' with the intervening excited fan crowd.

Turns out my Iggle Piggle boat creates more of a stir than I anticipated.  The TV show must be more popular than I thought.   {-)

A couple of video clips, thanks to Frank Hollis.

I have since rewired the sound system to operate off a 9V PP3 battery - much louder than the 4.8V.

The boat will be at Black Park on Thursday, Beale Park Saturday, ( and maybe Wicksteed Sunday) , then Alfold next weekend.

My contribution to modelling insanity was HMS Silver Swan, made for Plumpton Model Show, back in the 80's...

HMS Silver Swan actually appeared on a Traplet Publications video way back...I was interviewed by Gordon Batt at Plumpton, and when the video came out, there I was with the kettle steaming round the pool.

And yes, I still have my copy of that video...and no, I never did receive any royalty cheques   <:(

Me too! My 'HMS Kettlefish' now lies somewhere in the mud at the bottom of Princes Park pond, Eastbourne.
