Pretty obvious that the bike would be faster, given the power to weight ratio of the bike compared to the Ferrari

What's even more amazing is the peddle powered record is 167mph! Legs must be going like pistons!  %%

I think they use enormous gear ratios on the pedals and ride in the slipstream behind a fast-moving vehicle. Not quite like my Dad's old Raleigh Trent Tourer with its 3-speed Sturmey Archer twist-grip gears! I reckon I could get it up to 40mph down Clipston hill before I chickened out.....  Happy days.

I saw the episode where he built a wooden bike, a replica of the first bike called a velocipede I think. I have a lot of time for Guy Martin. He's down to earth bloke gets his hands dirty and on weekends goes very very fast on motorbycles in places like the IOM and Dundrod in Ireland.

Talking of Guy Martin, did anyone see last's TV where he broke the UK record for the fastest hovercraft ride over a measured distance,  ?

Now there's a dangerous pursuit.     %%
