Tug info needed
« on: July 18, 2007, 02:05:39 pm »

Could any forum member tell me what the "propeller-like" object is, that you see attached to the superstructure near the funnel of some tugs? Is it in fact a spare propeller? Please forgive my ignorance in this respect. If it is not a propeller could someone tell me where I can find this mystery object in model form for a 1:32 scale tug. Many thanks.

Yes, a spare propeller, just like a car's spare tire.

I'm sure Tom was the actual cabin boy on the Black Pig  in the classic children's t.v series.
The urban myth relates to 'Roger' the cabin boy.    Ooooeeeerrrr.

In fact, the crew of the famous Black Pig ship included sailors with no such names: present on board were Master Mate, Tom the Cabin Boy, and Pirates Barnabas and Willy. No character with the designation of 'Seaman' appeared in the show.
Lets keep it clean chaps there ARE children who use this forum as well . ;)
