Yacht refurbish help
« on: November 21, 2014, 04:50:26 pm »

Hi all, this is my 1st post so please be gentle..  %)

I am refurbishing an old yacht and wonder if you could help source the mast, booms, sails and rigging.

It is a fibreglass hull Americas Cup [1973 winner] model called Sandade
1.2 Mt length hull
There is a 4mm deck mount for the mast [which goes down to the base of the hull]

Attached is a pic I found on line of one with sails etc..

I wonder if a set from a yacht still in production would be the best way to complete this??

Thanks Frank, :-))  great pics that will help me sort the replacement for my bare masted version!

I've found Sails etc which looks like a hopeful source, does anyone have any other ideas other than make myself which is plan B.

Thanks
Martin

Hi martin.
there is also http://www.nylet.co.uk/  for parts. if you tell  them what boat is for they should be able to  make up a rig for it.
there is  on the occasion parts turn up on german flea bay but the kit  originally by Hegi is long out of production.
