Just found this fantastic collection of photographs, they are so clear and all in focus it makes me drool with envy at where the originals are! ok2
Everything from pre-dreadnoughts, armoured cruisers to 1980s frigates- mainly pre WW1 and a mixture of WW2 splashed in but amazing quality.

They have answered my question about portholes; a ship might have portholes of more than one size!

Thanks Nick, it has helped give me something to gauge the diameter of HMS Rupert's ports.
