« on: December 02, 2014, 09:40:42 pm »

Is anyone using the 16" Gun Salvo (AE9081) Sound Module by Admiralty Electronics/JoTika ?
How do you rate it?

If you go on their website and contact them,they will send you a link to the sound.Remember though,it is only as good as the computer or tablet speaker that you are listening to! Personally,I could not warrant paying out that sort of price wanted,but it does include a package of other sounds,and again,I didnt want them.
Its a question of you pays your money and you make your choice Im afraid

Thanks Mike,
I've tried their website & also called them but not had any reply, I've found u-tube clips of every thing else they make, just not the big gun sound!
Frank & Beans... Thanks for the hot air!  :-))

I have this in my Yamato and I think it sounds pretty good, I also have the "Whooper" in my destroyers. It is a recorded sound on a chip rather than the electronic destroyer sirens you can also get. I think the modules are from Ram in the US and re-branded over here. 16" gun link:

Thanks RSM, that sounds OK, but what I really want is something that sounds like this;

Its called "battleship gun blast" and I think it is a more recognizable "shell sound" rather that just a mighty BANG.

Very impressive install Roger, I especially like your props & shafts. I built mine 11 years ago and couldn’t find an alternative to the originals supplied with the kit, but it runs fine all the same.
Apart from that my set up is very similar to yours, except for the batteries which I laid flat and to the outside of the hull to help combat roll.

Here’s my favourite shot of the catapults and boat stowage on my model.
