The scale of the model is 1/16 or 120 mm this scale was chosen to allow the use of various military figures and weapons. Eighty per cent of the model is scratch built using light ply and plastic card sheet. the model has a very basic rear wheel drive. I can post some more pictures later if like.

Yes please! I like amphibs especially models. Seeing the model of a Stalwart built in Model boats earlier this year was a special treat.

I have a mad idea to build a LARC-V amphib lorry of the fifties and sixties or a Terrapin.

Terrapin http://www.armorjournal.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=23

LARC-V http://olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_larc.php

Looking forward to seeing your DUKW in and out of the water soon:O)

She is a sweetie! I love the stowage and think the coil of rope on the front is a nice touch.

Inspiring work Stan!

What a lovely model Stan  :-))  I especially like the way it looks real with the weathering and ageing!  I think that it is a real art to make models look real.  Mine always look shiny and new as I don't have the confidence to age them.

Hi Guys Final set of pictures for this post. I have not finished the lighting wiring something called Christmas seems to get in the way. When the work is complete I may post some more internal pictures showing the lights. Sorry for the poor picture quality these scan using old 35mm pictures.
