Myself and a few members of our club use the use following camera, which comes with several fittings/mountings with no problems so far as I know?  They are advertised on Amazon at around £54.00.

SJ4000 Waterproof 12MP 1080P H.264 Outdoor Full HD DVR DV 1.5 Inch LCD Sport Action Camera

If you google SPORTS HD DV, that will show them on Amazon amongst others.

For what it is worth my kids and their mates all have the cheap one sold by ALDI for a few dollars. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))
They work brilliantly and will also take videos/movies.
Very hardy as they stand up to bouncing around on jet skis AKA personal watercraft.
Downloaded quality on PC is good.

Hello,

Done a fair bit of searching about the SJ4000 camera, there seems to be a lot of "copies" or fakes about.
Huge differences in prices for the same spec camera.
A couple of Sites show the differences between the real and the fakes.

Not sure I will take the chance of buying one !!.

There are other choices by well known Name companies, Nikon, Rollei, Vivitar, Polaroid and others.
Will have to do some more searching !.

I use this one in my Neptune...

http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__62530__Turnigy_HD_ActionCam_1080P_Full_HD_Video_Camera_w_Waterproof_Case.html

Comes complete with a waterproof case, a box full of different mounting brackets, and £100 cheaper than a GoPro, and unless you're a photographic expert, you'd be hard pushed to notice the difference in the video quality. I'm just going to order another one for my DPI Phantom.

Excellent video of a model J class taken with a waterproof camera mounted on the deck. The music is superb also.

Hello,

After many hours of searching I have narrowed my choice down to two cameras.

The Vivitar DVR787HD, OR, the Nikon Coolpix S32.
The Nikon is a bit on the large side, but will be ok.
Not decided which one at the moment!!!.

Hi John.
I got the DVR 783 HD ....to bolt to one of my subs and the like so did not want to pay too much for one.
The camera appears very good the different mounts are included as is the water tight box.
Only set up and test pictured mine which was dead easy to do.
I am not wanting a state of the art proffesional camera just to play with and the pics appear good to my eyes for what i want anyway.
Hope its of use.
Regards sub.

Hello,

Decided to buy the Nikon S32 camera, waterproof on its own, so no case to leak or go wrong.
A worldwide named Company - - I have owned Nikon cameras before, so for me they are trusted!.
