Newbie to the forum
« on: January 12, 2015, 09:17:25 am »

Hi,
I am totally new to this type of modeling.
When a lot younger I learnt to fly RC Planes. Building my own as I progressed.
Now, with a little more time on my hands I am taking an interest in Boat Building.
I have got a project on the go "A Tug" and hope to make more progress on it soon.
Being new I will be searching for answers and asking the experienced people how to do bits.
When I reach mile stones I have set myself I will Post Pics.
Thanks for having me on the forum

Hi Andy,
I did not realise Basingstoke had a boat club, I am so new to all this and keep to get building.
I am attempting a Kilmek Tug, from scratch. In-fact I have just been notified by balsa has just arrived.
Do you sail at the Anton Lakes? I have been there before with a friend to sail his boat.
If you have details of the Basingstoke club at Eastrop it would be great.

David
If you google Basingstoke model boat club you should find there website, thats how i found it
I believe they meet wednesdays and sundays but i have not contacted them yet so cannot
Confirm it.
Only just come over to boating from racing rc petrol 1/5 scale, club wise there is a few in the area
Eastleigh, new forest etc, found most of them googling model boating in hampshire.
Lived in Andover since the late eighties and believe it or not i have never been to anton lakes, driven
Past the entrance 1000s of times.

Hi Andy,

Please don't use the  'return'  button when typing your letter, (unless you want a gap). The forums software will select when to start the next line.   ok2

Hope this helps
