Hi all,

Thought i would join here as im looking for something like a Thunder Tiger Neptune SB1, i like doing FPV videos and want to take a vehicle into rivers, the SB1 looks like it would do the job but of course you guys may know better? :)

I do FPV with Quadcopters and some Metal Detecting Vids ...

very interesting project.......I know s o d all about the thundertiger and little about subs in general after my one disastrous foray into that genre, but I will be very interested in your project as I have a hankering to get into detecting. :-))

I don't know the actual performance of the Thunder Tiger Neptune SB1, but one thing to watch out for when a river is involved is current.  If it flows at a comparable speed to the boat's performance, the boat is going downstream.  Control underwater can be done, but only in fresh water, and of course it needs to be clear so that you can see where it is.  Don't expect FPV from below, either.

You should defo get into it Neil, a very rewarding hobby - you just never know what your gonna dig up :)

Im not sure if it suitable for rivers either Malcolm but its an ideal platform for what i want, could probably do upgrades on it if needed, the FPV part of it looks easy enough with a trailing tethered surface system with the video transmitter on, failing that a wired one would do the job but i think its do-able.
