I've got a plan for one of these at the moment.

Born more from having a bit laying around that could be adapted than the need.

Saw one of these laying in a home hardware shop before Christmas It is a bearing support for a washing machine and around the right scale size for my Tyne Flying Spindrift.

I'm going to file away the bits that aren't really needed and then mould the rest of it with bits of styrene and some milliputt as it's quite a smooth and rounded object.

There may very well be items available off the shelf but I just fancied giving it a go. I think to buy the bearing holder was about £4 and all the time and styrene that will go into it will probably cost me about £10 in materials by the time it's done. Fun little project anyway if you want a seriously solid bit of kit.
Will be interested to see what what off the shelf ones are available, I've just never got round to looking.
