Motionco model parts
« on: January 25, 2015, 01:43:32 pm »

I'm just reposting my original post from Friday, which appears to have been lost somewhere,
in the hope that someone may have some knowledge of whether this company Motionco.uk
is still in business?
The website is working fine but I'm reluctant to send a sizeable order off to them as I have been
unable to contact them either by phone or email enquiry all of last week.
Does anyone use them on Mayhem?
Many thanks people...

Their web site seems to be operating ok, just make sure you pay by Paypal and any problems at least you'll get your money back. :-))

Its fairly safe in that you can get your money back if the goods don't turn up, but its a drawn out process to do so. The best protection is to pay by credit card, but even this is only guaranteed your money back if you spend over £100, otherwise its not covered (check the small print of your cc )

Well I can only speak from my experience of Paypal that I've used a great number of times, problems with mail order is fairly rare, but I've had two in the last 5 years one was a computer programme that wasn't as described and didn't work, and another order that just didn't arrive, on both occasions I made a claim through Paypal and got a full refund, so I use it with confidence.

No, they are called Motionco. I have sent and paid for a large order and glad to say I have received the parts
in quick time, so all is working well with this very useful little modelling company - for me.
They deal more with small mechanical parts such as pillow blocks, collars, motors, chains and sprockets & couplings than with boat items though.
