A sad day for sci fi and trekkie fans alike. Nimoy was a great character actor, you go through life and just sometimes you find a niche that suits you, this was for him Mr Spock.

I remember as a kid seeing the very first Star Trek on tv, what an eye opener when the best we had was an old bloke stepping out of a police box and pretending it was a space/time travel craft!

This is true in many ways but then you have to ask yourself, which one is still on TV?

Seriously though Spock was an iconic character and Leonard Nimoy will be missed.  Live Long and Prosper.

Both - one has a new season every year and the other is revered and watched on one of the 60 odd channels on freeview - if just for it chessyness - CBS channel?

Rest in peace Mr Nimoy, never to be forgotten.

I wonder if HIS last words were "Beam Me Up, Scotty"?
A great character.

Mr Spock was one of the people who inspired my daughter to pursue a career in science.
Thank you Leonard Nimoy  you will be missed.
