Then the other repair crew, this couldn't have worked out better.  O0

Well been a little bored, so this morning did the running rigging on the mizzen and tied the sails down, not the best work (is any of it), still have to do the Driver boom and gaff, unsure how to do it to allow the driver to move and still show the lines

Still bored, fitted the driver gaff line, it's tied to the underside of the platform.
I also fitted the driver boom line, this threads through the eye for the ratlines and is yet to be tied off, will do this to the bitt at the base of the mast, still have a few lines to run up the mast from the bitt when the mast is fitted to the deck.

The ratlines connection is looking a little tight, will need a way of fitting them at the pond side that wont damage the whole set up.

Thanks, I have only 3 up a mast and one of them is in the ratlines trying to fix it.

Still have to wet test the hull with a battery in and see what weight is needed on the front sailboard.

Would have done more but a job came up, and there is shopping tonight (though not likely anything available).

Yesterday fitted these, they represent the hammocks stored as protection, the painting on them is as atrocious as the crew.

Starting the mizzen deck next.

This picture is of one of the front foresails and it fitted, spent all of yesterday hemming the rough edge and when it was fitted it's as rough as a builders pair of on show undies, still have to do the front foresail, it's been hemmed but now considering hemming the front edge and creating loops for the rigging.

Well here is the front foresail, hemmed and the rigging attached and it all fitted, though the top corner fixing of the sail came loose had to re-attach with a jury rig, doesn't look as bad as first thought, connected both foresails to the front bitt, through the rail to look as it's been done to allow access forward.

Trying to work out out to simulate the boomkins lines, they originally are off a block on the main fore mast yard, but that would restrict the sails ability to rotate.

Fitted the first of the 4 anchors, trying to thread the lines through the rat lines etc is a pain but I still need to paint black some of the thread

Yep I agree - most builders don't fit the sails as they are so hard to do.  Nearly there now its going to look great!

Thanks guy's, the eyes are taking the toil, and I fitted the next anchor.

There is a lot wrong with it I would do differently if building another (not a chance - two's enough), not even considered the other rigging yet, may leave it as it might get in the way, I regularly check the foremast and main mast yards rotate, they dont turn that much, but enough, the fun will be when the sail winch is operated to see how much thread is available to get to the foremast.

Still need to do some painting to fix issues.

Now the start of the mizzen ratlines, to ensure they disconnect from the mast, the hook and eye is now coming into play.

First secure the starboard ratlines to the channel lanyards, to allow the tails to be tied the whole lot is pulled down to the first step.

Then tie a length of thread to the tails of the ratlines and secure the eye to this, wrapping the whole lot to ensure it doesn't come off.

The completed assembly, it looks loose but at least it's attached, and the eye should be able to stay attached and more importantly hold the mizzen deck on if things lift up, just need tweezers to attach and disconnect.

Little addition today,

Added the davit ropes, using knots to represent the tensioners between the davits, the connections to the hull look like hooks and eyes and I have drilled holes through the hull to then tie them in position by knotting the thread, currently the thread is being just held in by glue at the moment, tying the knots will be herculean task as they are bound to go loose, might use a bit of rod to wedge them in.

Just as an aside note, the davits are lifted and lowered from the mizzen mast, but as its removable that wont be possible to represent, though I could attach threads to the rat lines eyes.

Only did a very little this weekend, though tying the threads took forever, the anchors were a lot easier.

Been watching a lot of LEGO starwars since Monday and a couple of films and series, so back to the boat.

Charged up the transmitter, though even though its not been used in a while it still shows a full charge.

Charged up the receiver battery, again not been used much but still seems to have held a full charge.

These are to just test the servos. Well initially a bit of noise from the rudder (had only that connected at first) then nothing, after teasing the servo through a couple of degrees whilst disconnected, reconnected it and it started to work so all good in that department.

Next the sail servo, so attached to the threads from the mast a couple of clamps and then started the test on the sail servo, the clamps provided tension and at full stick up and down the clamps moved a fair distance up and down the hull sides, so ran the threads to the lower yard on the foremast and did the same, except I didn't connect the threads to the yard just moved the stick slowly up or down, no way that the stick is going to be used, so used the trim lever and full up and full down and it seemed to be enough.

So attached the threads to the yard and the excess on one side was tied to the main mast bottom yard and a thread attached to the other side was run back to the foremast yard, tentatively I adjust the trim control up and down and the rotation seemed to be just right so took a couple of photos, will need to test it further before tying loops to the yards to attach the control lines to, and also need to connect the middle yards together to see if they rotate with the main yards.
