Can you join in racing at any time ? Or do all boats have to be entered pre season ? Same question for membership
Cheers

You can join our club at any time during the year, we always welcome new members.
Once you are a "paid up" member, you can then enter races as you want too. Just one or all on the calendar.

( your boats do need to comply with the rules of course).

Hi Todd

If you were to choose your own race numbers, it might cause an issue if you chose the same two digits that I use :-)
However, I think you will find that if you join up, you will be given some flexibility to choose your own numbers as long as not in use by an existing member.

No problem Todd.

As soon as you are ready to have a go whether that be early or later in the season, join up for our minimal fee and we will look forward to seeing you in due course.

Oh just on race numbers, try and pick one with no more than 3 digits. It makes it easier for the lap counters to identify your boat! :-))

Can you imagine how it would be if I turned up with race number, 55305824?
Instead of 55..... :}

When you join, the membership secretary will usually issue you with a two (or max) 3 digit number.

You need to ensure race numbers are clearly displayed (to a minimum size 50mm height)  on your hull so they are visible to lap counters. See pics of boats on our site, to see what works best.

For other essential rules, please visit the club web site and click on the "about us" tab, third item down on the drop box, is rules.

Thanks, I think I just need to fit the handles get the window painted on and get some numbers to stick on it then it should be within the rules, plenty more work to be done on it yet though for it to be ready first

I'll have to paint it gloss black and sort the scratch out on the front at the same time

don't worry about the (slip with the dremel)scratch, you will have plenty of those once you get it on water and realise how quick these boats are ok2
