Guys,
has anyone here "upgraded" a Robbe Transmitter to use a lipo battery instead of the nicad/nimh that they come stock with? i have done it with my futaba radios, and presume there shouldn't be a problem, but just want to make sure.
thanks
Tim

I used 3S lipo in my FC16, no issues.

No worries with lipo's just remember there is no volt meter keep an eye on the level of charge.
I have converted my F14 Navy to 2.4ghz as well

If I was buying new, I would go for lifePO4 batteries, as they'll work in conjunction with the low voltage indicator, and are less sensitive to deep discharge. plus they're closer to the nicad/NiMH voltage.

thanks guys, mine doesn't have a low voltage indicator that i am aware of (at least i've never heard it)... it does display the voltage of the battery on the LCD... i will keep an eye on that and charge when appropriate.

My fc16 certainly does. Beeps continuously once the batts drop down below a threshold.
