« on: April 04, 2015, 02:17:14 pm »

Hi just changed the lights on my tug to led's. I was thinking of putting lights on my barge as well, deck lights are not a problem, but wot running lights do i need to have on the barge if any

I have put red green, and flashing yellow on the bow, and
a solid white centered on the stern of a barge I did for an owner's model.
The lights were all on small battery boxes mounted on the bulwarks.

Flashing yellow is for Hovercraft
Purse seiners are using them to show extent of net
But of a no no on a barge methinks.

Not just hovercraft - high speed cats have them too (for example, the Red Jets in the Solent). Basically 'Get out the blinkin' way!'

Here's the general gist of things for Colregs.

I think that's constant yellow though, not flashing.

I like the chart, very helpful.

I was just building by their plans, and photos from the yard....
