720 motor

Hi All
I was wondering if any know of an alternative to the Graupner 720 BB torque motor .

I was thinking of the MFA Torpedo 800 Marine motor as an alternative then I saw the price haha here's a link to it

The 800 is a size bigger than the 775. It also has only three poles so is a lot "noisier" electrically. The 775 has five poles and is a very quiet, smooth and powerful piece of kit.
On the other hand I'm pretty sure I have a new Speed 720BB Torque in my workshop somewhere; if anyone would care to make me a sensible offer?  ok2

But the 775 is not an exact alternative to the 720 BB.

720BB was below 3000 rpm under load and could easily turn a 70-80 mm brass prop.
The 775 will go up in smoke with such a prop in a heavy boat.

Ebay will probably provide a much closer alternative than this one if you look for a while.

Hi All
thanks for the input,very much appreciated .
A friend of mine is looking at building a boat .
 I have used a 720 on 50mm prop and was very pleased with it so that why i was looking at the 720 motor .
