A 400 should give it sprightly performance. If your daughter finds it a little too quick, just drop the voltage down a bit.

Hi Guys!!!!
I was planning about painting the launch in red and dark blue the hull with white the cabin and gray the cabin and deck, but, as I’d already comment you, my little daughter decided It’s going to be her launch, she decided she’s going to have different colors: purple, pink and blue, some kind of barbies combination.
I had some troubles with the pink, believe it was an old painting can and took me about one week to let it as I want.
I already made a new rudder, following your advices, looks better now

Painting and base
« Reply #30 on: May 18, 2015, 04:18:29 pm »

 Hi Guys!!!!
I’ve been working slowly but didn’t stop. Made the base, varnish it and put some rubber to protect the boat. Finished painting the cabin and in other things, I’m making and painting the cabin and deck details. Send you a picture as she is by now
I feel the colors look good, discovered the details stand out in white color, by now I’m painting them, I’ll send you a picture when they are already mounted

Best regards

 Hi Guys!!!
Thank you for your advice, decided to put those horns

By now I’ve been working a little slowly. Already made, paint and mounted the hand rails, even installed the front bollard, the front hatch and the horns, all with small bolts and adhesive.

Rudder servo
« Reply #38 on: June 09, 2015, 03:40:39 pm »

Hi Guys!!!!
Thank you for your comments
It took the time for the rudder servo, the first thing was to make the base, it's made with PVC, only the piece where you screw the servo is made with styrene

Windows and fenders
« Reply #39 on: June 15, 2015, 05:59:25 pm »

 Hello!!!
This week I made and fixed the main cabin windshields, they are made from a CD box in good shape. Next was the bow and stern metal fenders, at the beginning noticed that the PVC use to keep the scratches and the bow is made with this material, so decided to put metal fenders, brass in this case.
Other things I’ve been doing was soldering the motor diodes, adapting the coupler and cutting the propeller shaft (was too long). Have no photos of this, but am sending you the last one I took with the windshields and the brass fenders

By now I installed the motor with the couple. Even I'm working with the situation lights, spend some time with the lathe doing them, they only need painting and installing them

I nick some of "my daughters" nail varnish to threadlock screws & grub screws.   %)
You'll never find them again if they vibrate loose!

 Hello Guys!!!
Thank you very much Krishna
The launch is almost finished, so I’ll tell you about the things I’ve been doing since the last time I posted the progresses.
First I painted and mounted the situation lights, even put a hand rail next to the door, believe it should have one

Police Launch as she is by now
« Reply #46 on: July 13, 2015, 05:28:50 pm »

Send you a picture al the launch as she is by now, you can see the mast in his position, added a couple of cleats in the stern, believe it’s too lonely back there; Made and installed the door handles and made the cabin windows, only made two by side in order to let some ventilation for the electronics. Feel like she needs a searching light, so maybe it´s going to be the next step, by now she is more than 100% than the plan.

Electronics
« Reply #49 on: July 13, 2015, 06:04:50 pm »

I can say that the electronics are finished, she is using a 2.4 ghz pistol transmitter, the BEC-ESC is fixed with Velcro, I’m deciding where to fix the receiver, where you see it or up near a window, it have a small antenna.
Already made the first run outside the water and everything seems ok, hope this week can make the final adjusts and make the first run in the pond by the weekend
