Shop4glue contact?
« on: April 15, 2015, 05:35:24 pm »

I placed an order with Shop4glue on their website a while ago.  I have always had good service from them in the past.  I received a confirmatory e-mail the same day (30 March), although I imagine that is an automated response.  After a while with no glue, I sent them an e-mail (help@shop4glue.eu) on 10 April asking if my order would be on the way soon.  Still no reply to that.

Has anyone had any contact with Shop4glue recently?  I need the glue, so am considering going elsewhere.  As I said, I have always had good service in the past, so am a bit nonplussed by this silence.

Anyone know anything before I find another supplier?

Greg

Interestingly I have tried to contact them by phone using the number on the website and glue bottles, an automated reply saying
this phone does not receive calls. I too have an order pending from website. Previously great service.

They spend quite a bit of time at their Bulgarian (?) place. Last year I found the e-mail didn't seem to get a response, so I sent a PM from here and that did work (though it might have been a day or two before they replied).

Well, I PM'ed them a week ago and no reply so far.  That's over three weeks since I placed the order so I have decided to go elsewhere.  Rather sad, I had a high opinion of this setup until now.

If you do place an order with them I suggest you use the "pay on delivery" option as then at least you won't be out of pocket if nothing turns up.

Caveat emptor - more in sorrow than anger.

I recall reading that one of the factories suffered flooding a few weeks ago
and it was basically 'All hands to the pumps' in one of the factories overseas.
This may be a reason as I have had nothing but perfect service from
the company.

The Bulgarian factory flooding was around Christmas time; they really shouldn't still be missing enquiries because of that.
One can only hope it's a temporary problem as they are a useful resource for glues.

I do hope they reappear and keep giving the service they have in the past, but right now - I need some glue!

Hi, sorry for all the delays.....not much use if you were waiting for an order though!

The factory in Bulgaria was flooded continuously last year and a lot at the end of last year upto about 8 foot deep at one point , continuing until the end of January so after the ME in London we closed around the 15th of Feb until about the 15th of March.. message on shop to say this, we closed everything in the UK (only during this trip) and were working on the factory here raising the floor by 2 meters and building a flood wall around it, around the 1oth March we were hit by heavy snow , not at the factory but at the house 60 miles away from the factory, no internet, no electric for ages so all work stopped.

I can not log onto the shop from here to add updates as my BG IP address is banned for some reason it was OK in March , changing internet providers to sort that out so I can get access to the site and emails

Latest delay sounds stupid.....but....around 3 weeks ago I found a dog with hole in its windpipe, had been tied up with cable tie, many vet trips later he is now ok, couldn`t leave him like that, throat now open about 3 inches by 2 inches underneath but sewn on everywhere else, Ann cant drive so I a the only driver to get him the 20 miles to the vet , neighbours wanted to shoot him or tie him up somewhere to die......

(photo of dog at bottom of post.....caution....don`t look if squeamish )

I should be back in the UK over this next week (but maybe upto 2 weeks....) depending on traffic, breakdowns, things going wrong! and absurd weather changes etc , as soon as I am back orders if still wanted/not canceled will be posted out in order they were made

Orders made after today will for now be posted out with about 2 weeks delay working backwards towards thee start of orders, processed from in Bulgaria to reduce backlog in the UK

Ann is now living here almost full time to run/keep control of this factory  , the phone lines should be operational again soon, diverted to here, its all setup just not passed as safe to use the buildings with some act something or the other that gives you a permit to use it, waiting for the paperwork!,

new email forms will be onsite soon that if email sent from on the site it will get past spam filter

Sorry about the delays, but there is nothing I could do about it

Defo a rollercoaster ride this year.
Well done for the good deed with the dog.
Good to hear you will be up and running again soon.

After reading that saga, us waiting for a few bottles of glue for building model boats seems small potatoes
As others have kudos on you for doing the right thing by the dog :)

Very few things in life make me extremely angry but animal cruelty does it for me every time.  I really admire you for doing the right thing by that animal  - Nice one  :-))   Expect an order from me very shortly regardless of delays  :-))

Bury head in sand, comes to mind.

Maybe a 'signed for' / 'recorded delivery'  letter is the 1st step.

I've sent you a PM about my experience with this supplier. Good luck, but I think you may well end up writing it off.

They where at Warwick and they have been at Ellesmere Port in the past. If they are at Ellesmere Port at the weekend I will ask them what is the position for ordering off them and post any information.
They do not appear to have been at  Astmoor industrial estate,Runcorn, for a while and some of our club members have been to their premises but they are always closed.
