Robbe U47 Bellcrank Assembly fwd Hydroplanes
« on: July 18, 2015, 03:34:53 pm »

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a web link or suggest a better way to operate the fwd hydroplanes on the Robbe U47, I recall somewhere a better way than the bellcrank under the conning tower. It will still be dynamic diver at the moment.
Help appreciated.

Hi,
You can just lock them off so they do not move as you don't really need them, they are more trouble than its worth to get them to operate its really not necessary and the model will perform perfectly well with them static ....some submarines do not even have forward planes like the x craft for example and work excellently without them.....but if you WANT them to work then that's a different case. A few people run a second servo / pushrod through the forward end cap with a bellows type or a servo in a water tight box in the free flood area in front of the wtc but again a pain in the butt to service and use for not much gain I.M.O.
