 {-) Don't like politicians rather like the muppets especially the dog that plays the piano,bit scared of miss piggy though reminds me of someone,Ray. {-)

My daughter and her partner didn't get theirs, having registered ages ago. They went to the polling station and were told that nearly a hundred people had not received them. They could go to the offices in Brighton and vote there, but that wasn't practical with two small children and almost no time to make the trip.

Don't see the logic of that, how would you know how all those people were going to vote? If they were part of the Brighton constituency as Meechingman implies, then the administration would presumably be carried out by Brighton City Council which has something of a reputation of inefficiency under the control of the Greens. Probably just incompetence.

We got our postal votes OK in Surrey. First time ever we have done this but we were away last week.

As my dear old Dad (who is still teaching me stuff at the grand old age of 96) said before our last election "Anybody who has enough sense to be a good politicion will have enough sense to stay well away from the job"! Sounds fair to me.

Hang on cobber, A Politician is not a job here, in the UK, who in there right mind would work so hard to be voted for a 5 year position in employment ? then live a life of hell in the country they altered when they end up on the job queue for something better.
