 Hi all,
     Has anyone had difficulty with a metal geared servo turning more in one direction than the other? I am just fitting the electrics (ESC, servo etc) into a Tid tug and after carefully mounting the servo so that it is level square and the linkage as straight as possible I find that the rudder moves further over in one direction to the other, I have tried moving the servo arm on the splines and made sure that the servo has centralised itself. Any ideas guys? All advice greatly appreciated.

Which radio are using.  Does it have a centring lever system.  ?  Find the centre point.

Is it the servo output arm moving a different number of degrees away from center each side or just the rudder?
If its the servo arm, then there is something odd in either the servo or the transmitter.  If its the rudder, then either its the linkage geometry or the tiller arm is running out of room to travel at one end.

Is the ESA the type that needs to be set up i.e. the travel of the stick evenly both ways and is your Tx trim tab centered

So easy to not notice the trim on an analogue set, and even easier not to
notice on a digital set. Also End Point Adjustment has an effect on a programmable set.
If none of these and the linkages are fine then centre the servo without
the arm the put the arm on in the position with the rudder centred.
If the fault is still there try another servo.
