Hi Faz, as far as painting the mast I intend on sliding some rubber tube (like heat shrink) over the LEDs prior to painting  this should keep them free of paint. Hope you get what I mean.  :-)) :-)) :-))

Regards Dave.

I do not want to appear to be finding fault ,before you get to far on should some of the LEDS not be red ,just an observation . Good to see you resolved your issue .

Hi Dave, you are correct mate I could get around that with coloured lenses but I have the same problem as before now, don't know why it's happened I sprayed it last night then went to it today switched on great then after leaving the lights on while I worked on something else I noticed after an hour or so the lights were flickering and went off. After checking all connections all looked fine so I had to remove a bit of paint in order to check and yes a dead short again, I have now left well alone as it's done my head in I will have another look tomorrow if I can't find the problem then it's getting lashed in the bin and start again......the joy's of model boat's.

Regards Dave.

That's a pain Dave, I am watching with interest as I have a similar task coming up on my Ayton Cross build.
I hope you manage to get it sorted without having to start again.

Does it need resistors ( whatever they are ) in the wiring system?.

Hi, all resistors fitted mate......it's just one of those faults that's there in front of me but I can't see it at the moment. I haven't given up on it yet. :-)) :-)) :-))

Got some more done on the brass work as in the rails around the roof area and made the ladder to provide access to the roof, not much more to do in brass once this is done I will make a start on the mast again.

A bit more has been done and the crew have gone aboard to have a look around before they go for training. It's getting there slowly.

Hi John, not to good at the moment as you probably know I had my leg amputated last September and had a fall about 3 weeks ago landing on my stump, I am waiting to go back into hospital to have a bit more taken off the bone as they left it a bit to long and it's trying to work it's way out so I have been in to much pain to work on the tug but I shall get going again soon, have to do something mate I'm going potty just sitting around. Thanks for asking mate and take care yourself.

Best Regards Dave.

Ok the new mast has been built, it's now ready for spraying and the I shall fit the dummy lights. Yes I am going this way with the lights....can't be bothered with the messing around with all the wires.

Dave,

The M class is looking good.
Thanks for all the information you give me via pm.

As luck would have it a Tug that I've liked and been after for awhile
Landed at my door,
I'll probably be selling my Maltby hull and plan on, as i need to reduce what's here.

Best regards
Adam

Hi Mark,

Always had targets....
The biggest issue with the subs, Engel
Is the dry weight.
At least I can remove the batteries from The Tug
Making it easier to lift out of the pond.

Perhaps I should pop down your way next year?
