Hi Kevin,
I think that the tyne models hull is the only one around, not heard of any others, I think, not 100% but chipchase may have made the plug and mould. I got mine from a deal with another club member. Dont know where he got it from, but it had some of the clearing ports cut out, but thats all, I have been at a stand still with mine for a while, too busy with work. (Only 6 years to go ).
Regards Andy

Thanks for your reply Andy the reason I asked there was a guy in Essex selling some on ebay. As the only one I've seen was at the Haydock Pk show 3-4 yrs ago and that was on the Tyne Models stand built by Brian (Chipchase).

Regards

That's interesting, because they are hard to get hold of, I had a picture of Maltby in my workshop, and a fellow club member said I've got that hull, so I did a swop, as I had always wanted one

It was me that the hull came from (with the wash ports cut out) if I'm thinking of the right one. Not that it is of any use at all to the subject  %) .

I think it is still possible to get hold of the M class hulls, but at the moment I believe that the company is 'on hold' if you like. Nothing untoward, but full time jobs and life do sometimes take precedence as a lot of us are all to aware, myself included. Don't take that as gospel chaps, but don't lose faith at the same time  8) .

I have another M class which is 'on the slip' but at a stand still whilst I am on with other builds.

Apologies for the babble chaps, it's late and I have been on the Pussers  O0 . Great build, as are all the others on going at the moment.

Hi all, just a quick update no more has been done on my Maltby due to me having a few problems with my false leg and my wife has been in hospital very ill but she is now getting better. I will hopefully get going again very soon.

Regards Dave.

Sorry to hear you're having a rough old time Dave - hope you both recover soon. Meanwhile, there's no pressure on for modelling. Just wait until you feel able to carry on. :-))

Regards,

Ray.

Hi all, I have now got back to working on the Maltby again as there is only bits to do now. I am looking forward to having a go at some tug towing as she is very powerful. I will get some photo's on as I get things done.

Yes I know John every time I look at it I think of something else to add, I am now thinking of adding a working winch on the bow......she has one on the stern.

Hi all, I had the Maltby out today doing a bit of towing... the barge floods in order to give it some weight and I can tell you it's a very heavy tow. Now I can say I was very happy as she towed brilliant towing around for a good 3 hours and still had lots of power so I now know with the way its set up I will have no problems towing larger ships etc. :-)) :-)) :-))
