Modern Tug Sound System
« on: May 28, 2015, 12:57:32 am »

Hello guys

Does anyone know of any modern sounding tug sound module?

I'm after something that sounds like a ASD tug with two big powerful v12 units.

Any ideas guys.

Cheers

Marty.......... I have no personal knowledge of such sound systems, however this one from Tom Hugill is pretty impressive O0 and appears to be totally programmable :-)) .......... Derek

What you're more likely to hear on a modern tug is the massive air flow from the cooling systems and the hissing from turbos under load. You don't really hear the motor on these tugs.

I agree with calimero, standing next to one at the dockside you are only aware of a humming noise, even then its not loud. What is really noisy is the water they kick up from their props and especially bow and stern thrusters. They really make noise with water cavitation when in use.
