« on: May 28, 2015, 11:01:25 pm »

I will be building model slipways the Yorkshireman it will have two props and I wonder the motors required the boat is not yet with me  so I'm not sure if the plans or description give details as to size and type of motor needed.
Is there special hookup for running two motors .

Hello Rick
Have a look in the technical section under motors ,a artical by Mr Dave Milbourn this wil get you started then have a look at Action P93 ESC 's then you will be on the right track.

If you want direct drive motors then these are worth looking at http://www.componentshop.co.uk/775-dc-motor-5000rpm-with-mounting-bracket.html
There are several wiring diagrams here which would suit the Yorkshireman; the equipment for every one of Model Slipway's twin-engined tugs being pretty much the same http://www.action-electronics.co.uk/ms.php
The basis of most installations is the P94 dual ESC/mixer.
