Drumbeat of Devon 18ft rescue boat
« on: May 21, 2006, 10:17:40 pm »

Im trying to build the 18ft rescue boat for the Model Slipway Drumbeat of Devon but am having problems. The instructions clearly state the 'top' half of the rescue boat moulding should go inside the bottom. The top half also has an overlap that should go over the bottom half to conceal the join.

Trouble is, the 'top' half of the moulding is clearly smaller than the bottom half and doesn't fit! Even when cut to the correct line turning the top upside bown and fitting the bottom half in doesn't work!

Anyone who's built a drumbeat and suggestions how they tackled this? Luckily, MS included 2 rescue boat mouldings in the kit. Help!!

Hi
Have you tried cutting a bit more from the bottom half ? It has to be trimmed to fit. Give us a ring on 01226 770008 we will talk you through it. We will be back at the factory on Wednesday.

Jackie.

Thanks for your reply. I tried as you said on the second hull and it went together a lot better.

That's what I call service!
