Tug winch...
« on: June 07, 2015, 11:01:52 am »

Chaps, would I be doing wrong if I fitted a winch to the rear deck of my Atlantic tug? I have a Graupner Bugsier winch doing nothing, and I'm thinking of fitting it onto the deck hatch...any comments, please?

Just my view ,it's your boat and you can do what ever you want to it , if you want to keep it looking as it was built no would be my thought , if you go down the route you are thinking make sure you have it fixed down and are pulling from as strong a point  you can .

Fair enough, David...it's now done and fitted. Glued down, and screwed through the hatch cover as well...if it comes off now, it'll take the whole deck off with it!
