Billing boats Juno
« on: June 10, 2015, 03:22:26 pm »

Hello!
Bought one of these a while ago, about 25£. Thought it could be of some use some day. I have now turned it into a icebreaking tug! More later.

Thanks Alex!
Got some primer on her today, haven't decided what "company" she belongs to yet but black hull it is I believe. More painting next week hopefully, off to work again now.
All the best!

Lovely modelling there friend!!!  :-))

I saw the kit of the Mariefred in the model shop in Stockholm........so, so tempted to buy her then but I thought I would wait until I got home to see if she was available in the UK.  But no....... No-one imports them.  Never mind.....it gives me a good excuse to return!!!!!  O0

Glad midsommer to you and your family Hakan.......have a great weekend!!!!!

Thanks Carl, same to you!
Well you can buy the Mariefred if you come back for a winter cruise, or I'm sure it can be shipped to the UK( I could assist if needed ) but I think we all want you to focus on your ferry kits. ok2
Best regards!

Ha ha!! yes...the ferry kits........now I remember what I am supposed to be doing!!!! Nearly there with the first one.....
Been studying the plan of Dalaro very closely working out how to 'kit' her and I think I have it all sorted now.  Really looking forward to 'putting pen to paper'.  However, I really need to write to the Waxholmsbolaget technical department to see if they would be happy to let me have a copy of her lines plan (hull sections etc.) - this would speed up the process enormously.

Would you please be so kind as to PM or email me their address and the name of the person I would be best to write to?  Also, can you please let me have YOUR address again (my phone got corrupted) as we have a few 'goodies' here we would like to send over for you and the girls  O0 .  By the way, Flo has started buying some extreme winter clothing........she tells me that it might be a touch chilly in Sweden in the wintertime  {-) !!!!!!

Lovely work on the Juno too!!! Is your test pond actually the wooden pontoon near to the campsite?  It certainly looks familiar!!!  When you have an r/c Dalaro, you will have to sail it up to the jetty in Waxholm to see the reaction from the travellers waiting to join the full-sized version  :-))  Tell them it shrunk in the wash!!!!

All the best friend - and regards to the family
Carl and Flo

Thanks Martin and Carl!
And Carl, I'll contact you via pm regarding plans. Would love to see a kit of Dalaro as you understand.
As for test pond, it's on an island just north of Vaxholm called St Saxaren, we rent a house there. Don't remember if I told you about it when we met? When you visited we had just lost it as the owner was selling it, but only two weeks ago he told us the deal was cancelled and that we could hire it again. It's a perfect place to sail, I brought Juno and the Gotland ferry this time.
All the best to you and Flo! And Martin of course!
