You will need a motor with around 3200 - 3400 rev's per volt.
Kontronik have a Fun 480 - 33 (3300),but there are many other makes.

Hi Andy, can you say why you recommend that motor RPM speed please?

On 6 volts that is 20,000 rpm or have I got it wrong?
Does the motor slow down when under load?

I thought that a 3 phase motor liked to run at a constant speed.
Any other tips on brushless motors would be appreciated.
regards Roy

The KV figure or rpm per volt is the unloaded speed. Depending on the prop, the motor will slow down under load - possibly quite a llot. Brushless model motors are better described as electronically commutated rather than three phase, the speed controller constantly senses the position of the shaft and energises the windings at the correct time.

Yep, it does go well after 'Uncle Ian' fixed the rudder linkage!
Cheers Chris,

Ian.
